Just like that, the Los Angeles Lakers managed to sneak into the playoffs after an overtime win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. I had a feeling this year LeBron wouldn’t be satisfied with only becoming the highest learning scorer in the league. Last night I watched the first half and I was convinced this game would’ve been the end for LA. Nonetheless, I heard my roommates screaming after the Anthony Davis incident which almost sold the game for his team. I was quite surprised about this turnout because, for the past few years, the Lakers have only been a mediocre team. The game ended at 95-95 and I had a feeling the refs were on the money line for the Lakers. Overtime ended with a final score of 108-102 after I predicted the Lakers would lose by 12.

That being said, it’s time to see how the Grizzlies will handle the Lakers. This playoff series will most certainly break the internet. Despite recent social media events, Ja Morant is an up-and-coming superstar in the league. I keep hearing “Lakers in 6” and “Grizzlies in 5.” Even Skip Bayless, the biggest LeBron hater is pulling for the Lakers which is new to me. This Sunday will be epic. I can’t wait to see how social media reacts to this series.
